One Weekend in Tampa
It all started great with a nice escape from the winter storm which haunted the mid east.I landed at 12 am in Tampa and Kat picked me up.
Since Thursday i had some kind of cramps in my chest, so i thought maybe i would be a bit uptight.
It bothered me not really because it was spontaneously.
On Friday, things got worse but it was a nice day and i didn't fly to Florida to be sick, so i tryed to ignore the pain.
Saturday i got the bill for it and was knocked out with heading pad and Aspirin 500. What helped some what.
But the best is yet to come.
For dinner on Sunday we wet to a restaurant a colleague recommended. A Very fine restaurant with the biggest wine collection world wide in a restaurant, over 100.000 different wines. Prices from $10 per bottle up to $6.100 for an desert wine from 1753. The food was very good, and the Chateaubriand was delicious. (http://www.bernssteakhouse.com)
Afterwards it hit me big time with my little problem. I ignored the pain again because i didn't wanted to look for a doc in Tampa at 10pm on a Sunday. I got payback at around 1am so hard that i wasn't able to lie in the bed. My wife dragged me to the ER in Tampa. The fact is that i have a kind of infection of the tissue between my rips and my muscles called:
Costochondritis
Costochondritis is a condition in which the muscles and bones in the chest become irritated and sore. It may develop hours or days after some strenuous physical activity, but most often it seems to develop for no apparent reason. People of all ages get costochondirtis, but it occurs more often in young, healthy adults, Given time, costochondirtis usually gets better on its own within two or three days.
They gave me a 800 mg Ibuprofen. We left after 5 hours and went back to the hotel an got ready for the flight back to Michigan.
