Kasimir \k(a)-si-mir\ is pronounced KAZ-e-meer. It is of Slavic origin, and its meaning is "famous destroyer (of peace)". Variant of Casimir (Slavic) "bring peace". The name of the patron saint of Poland; also a favored name of Polish royalty.
